Graduation Day

After spending my time yesterday establishing that I did in fact attend a legitimate university program of study, today is graduation day. The History Department had a nice reception in the morning and I was able to meet more of my professors in person and a few I did not have the pleasure to have in class. Then it was off to graduation.

The gonfaloniers met in a separate room to get ready and we had our photo taken with the chancellor. Then we went downstairs to ready our positions. Tricia Danburg did such a wonderful job coordinating us and helping us feel at ease. Our professors entered the building and then we were off to our positions. I had my family and friends watching at home on the Youtube live stream as I entered the venue beaming with pride.

It was a great honor to receive my diploma first as a gonfalonier and finally walk across the stage. After two long and stressful years of intense study, I have reached my goal. I do not think I have ever participated in a venture as hard as this program. It consumed my entire life and my time. Yet with dedication and hard work, I completed my degree.
